Description
This training is required by the Chancellor and the Chancellor’s Cabinet for all staff and faculty identified by Deans, by Human Resources, and/or by Vice-Chancellors as having supervisory responsibilities. If you are receiving this invitation, then you have been identified as one of those Supervisors.
This training will broaden supervisors’ expertise about interpersonal violence, which includes information about prevalence, ways to respond to disclosures, relevant ASU policies, and campus resources. The goal is to equip supervisors with knowledge of proper policies and procedures, and to create a network of informed and supportive faculty and staff.
Participants should review the policies and resources located on the IPV Supervisor Training Tab on the Interpersonal Violence Council website (ipvc.appstate.edu) PRIOR to training, since there is a lot to cover in a short period of time.
These sessions will be led by Juliette Grimmett, Chrysalis Network. Chrysalis Network is a NC-based company that provides training on sexual and dating violence prevention, advocacy, and policy issues related to interpersonal violence.
If you have any questions, please contact either J.J. Brown <brownjj1@appstate.edu> or Donna L. Lillian <lilliandl@appstate.edu>, co-Chairs, ASU Interpersonal Violence Council.
