Description

This workshop will introduce participants to a course design framework known as Universal Design for Learning and Instruction, which utilizes technology, student choice, careful assessment, and meaningful experiences to maximize learning and motivation in the college classroom. The facilitator will present the workshop in a UDLI format so that participants can experience the framework themselves.

Objectives

  • Identify and reduce unintended barriers to learning and motivation that exist in their current courses.
  • Locate technology resources that will facilitate in the implementation of course designs that maximize learning.
  • Apply the principles of Universal Design for Learning and Instruction to future course designs and redesigns
