Description

Delivering Feedback to Low Performing Employees

Often managers and supervisors must have difficult conversations with employees regarding low performance. This workshop is designed to provide supervisors and managers with tools and techniques on handling difficult conversations regarding performance issues. General knowledge will be provided on successful practices and common dos and don’ts. Brief role plays will be incorporated for practice and real application.

Offered in partnership with graduate students in the IOHRM program.

Objectives

  • Understand how to broach emotionally charged issues with employees in a caring and constructive manner.
  • Acquire the ability to use supportive communication through verbal and nonverbal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to use specific situational tactics to aid in the overall delivery of constructive feedback.
