Course Description
Facilitators: Mariam Willis, Communication and Aristotle's Café Trainer; and Laura Brittain, Communication
General Education Goal #1 is to increase student competency in thinking critically and creatively. What exactly is critical thinking? How can faculty members construct assignments to measure students’ abilities? This workshop will focus on the role of critical thinking in classroom dialogue, both online and face-to-face. Presenters will provide examples and ideas for implementing and documenting critical thinking in their classroom discussion.

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Define critical thinking in relation to classroom and online discussions.
- Design discussion assignments, which will assist students in applying critical thinking skills.
