Description

The Office of Diversity is excited to announce the revitalization of the Appalachian Advocates program! Appalachian Advocates is a program designed to equip, expand and make visible the network of resources and support available to members of underrepresented groups within the App State and greater Boone communities. Appalachian Advocates are members of the App State community with a wide variety of backgrounds, identities, experiences and knowledge. Their dedication to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) promotes a culture of belonging on our campuses that values all members of our university community.

This revitalization includes a Fall Orientation & Welcome, hosted on Sept. 29th, 12-2PM. 12:30-1:00PM | Introduction by the Office of Diversity

1:00-2:00PM | Facilitated Training by the Office of Access and Equity: Disability Resources: "Disability & Ableism"
