Description
This workshop is designed to help faculty better understand university policies relevant to logistical arrangements of faculty led study abroad programs. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from university administrators on how to manage such issues, follow appropriate university policies to make the logistical labyrinth easier and avoid major pitfalls, and to share best practices on such issues with their peers.
Objectives
- 1.Describe university policies and procedures related to developing and managing faculty led study abroad programs
- 2.Answer commonly asked questions on logistical issues that often arise from faculty-led study abroad programs abroad
- 3.Apply best practices learned from fellow faculty in avoiding major pitfalls when leading student groups abroad
