Description
This workshop will explore the use of ePortfolios as a pedagogical strategy for increasing our students' ability to integrate and personalize learning across courses and co-curricular experiences. We will consider the concept of "folio thinking" as a method to support our students in a self-direct process of designing and structuring a scholarly and authentic digital presence for professional audiences.
Objectives
- implement ePortfolios as a teaching strategy for integrative thinking
- support students in the initiation of a scholarly digital presence
- consider the use of ePortfolios as a method for teaching digital literacy
- utilize the transferable skills and core competencies inventory to assist student in documenting and contextualizing their college learning experience
- assess an ePortfolio using a holistic evaluation rubric
