Description
In this workshop, I present two-colored problem sets as a tool to engage students in meaningful discussions of the problem solving process. The problem sets encourage student participation and self-assessment, cornerstones of inquiry based learning. After reviewing a few successful problem sets, participants will complete an activity simulating their use in the classroom.
Objectives
- 1.Describe the concept of inquiry-based learning.
- 2.Evaluate the utility of student self-assessment in the classroom.
- 3.Develop two-colored problem sets as tools to increase student engagement in the classroom.
