Search Committee Training provides instruction and guidance for faculty and staff hiring committees as they go through the process of attracting, hiring, and retaining an excellent and diverse faculty and staff workforce.

All hiring supervisors, search committee chairs and members should complete Search Committee training before beginning the search process for any open positions. The training provides guidance related to affirmative action/equal employment opportunity compliance information, search process steps, and overcoming implicit bias in the search and hire process.

Human Resources and the Office of International Education and Development will also be available during the session. The session is scheduled for 1 1/2 hours. The last 30 minutes will primarily be for those committees conducting searches through AppState Careers. EDC will offer search committee training on the dates listed below, participants are encouraged to RSVP to ensure space is available.
