Description
This is the third in a series of workshops to help you publish a manuscript. Part 3 is typically scheduled upon request. This workshop covers topics that are helpful for self-publishing guides, manuals, and books, but not typically useful for a thesis or dissertation. See the Additional Information link below for details about the series of workshops.
Objectives
- Use the formatting features of Microsoft Word
- Understand the structure of a Word document
- Understand sections in a Word document
- Understand page numbering in a Word document
- Create a Table of Contents (TOC) in under 7 seconds
- Understand tools for creating an Index
Prerequisites
- Experience with the latest version of Microsoft Word
- Manuscripts 1: Saving Time With Styles in Word & Manuscripts 2: General Approach, Format, Structure workshops
