Course info

This workshop is for faculty who are skeptical, doubtful or otherwise have hesitations about utilizing civic engagement and service-learning in their classes. Some may be concerned about the praciticalities and logistics of implementing community-based service in their classes. Others might have doubts about whether it produces useful outcomes. Others perhaps have ethical concerns about how we go about serving those in need. We will "steel-man" the arguments against service-learning but also provide some supportive responses.
