Description

As a supervisor at Appalachian State University, you play a critical role in creating and maintaining a safe, equitable, and inclusive work environment for our employees. Part of this role involves upholding Equal Employment Opportunity laws and our University’s commitment to inclusion. In order to ensure that you have the tools you need to fulfill this role, we will be implementing the Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Fundamentals (EEODF) training. EEODF is a mandatory training for all managers and supervisors with North Carolina state agencies and UNC system institutions per G.S. 126-16.1. This training provides a thorough background in EEO law as well as thought-provoking situations to assess and improve your cultural competence in the workplace.
