Description
In April 2013, the Faculty Senate approved the creation of departmental Promotion and Tenure Committees (PTCs), which review all applications for promotion and tenure and which comprise all tenured faculty members in the department. This is a departure from previous University practice in which only a few faculty served on the Departmental Personal Committee (DPC). The purpose of this workshop is to prepare all tenured faculty for the responsibility of serving on the departmental PTC. All tenured faculty are encouraged to read the change to the Faculty Handbook http://facsen.appstate.edu/ and to bring their questions and concerns.
