Description
Developing mentoring relationships can be a crucial part of an academic experience for new faculty. Departments that provide the best mentoring practices investigate and customize programs that are best suited for their specific departmental culture and field. This workshop is intended to increase chairs' and faculty members’ awareness of campus resources to support mentoring. Participants will be familiarized with the process of designing a mentorship for faculty and how to assess mentoring outcomes.

Objectives
- Design a mentorship for junior faculty.
- Differentiate mentoring approaches; for example, constellation approaches vs. one-on-one interaction.
- Diagnose and treat mentorship dysfunction.
