Description

This community is for the study and planning of global virtual communities of learning and practice. The understandings and notions of the group will guide the planning of the TEA-IREX DigiFest 2015. The literature defining online communities of practice models will be reviewed and studied. Best practices for online activities, formative assessment strategies, action research and governance issues will be explored . A published report in the TAC Advisor OJS will be part of the group work. The FLC will inform the design and planning of the Spring DigiFest 2015 activities. The LC will begin with a face-to-face meeting in January 2015 and conclude with a face-to-face meeting in May 2015. We will meet virtually in the interim for our study, using AsULearn as our primary method of correspondence.
