Description
This seminar is designed to introduce new and existing managers to concepts that they need to be a successful supervisor at ASU. We will cover introductory information on your responsibility as a supervisor to live our Appstate values, how to navigate the transition from employee to boss, and how to handle difficult conversations. We will discuss performance management, introduce you to the Appstate Jobs system for hiring, as well as how our Employee Relations staff can assist you. Practical strategies for conflict resolution will also be discussed.
Prerequisites
- Participants must hold a supervisory position.
- The seminar is open to newly hired supervisors as well as seasoned managers.
