Description

Clickers allow instructors to ask questions and gather students' responses during a lecture for both formative and summative assessment. The clicker system can be used to better engage students in an active learning experience, promote feedback from students, increase student comprehension and improve attendance. With clicker systems, each student uses a device, a clicker, that looks like a TV remote to answer questions posed by the instructor.

This workshop will cover how to use the hardware and software necessary to run ASU's preferred Classroom Response System (CSR). Presenters will show how to set up the hardware and software for the system, how to create questions, how to register remotes to students, how to review student responses and integrate student data with AsULearn. The workshop will also address how to request remotes for students through the university’s book rental system. This workshop is appropriate for new users, as a review for experienced users, or faculty that are just interested in learning more about clickers.
