Description
Take a more in-depth look at Rural Poverty issues in our local community — a theme chosen to fit this year’s summer reading book, Mudbound. A panel of local agency representatives who work on these important issues will offer a real world and local view of this important issue. Following the panel discussion, join us on a tour of three local agencies to gain a hands-on perspective of their day-to-day activities and services, as well as learn about the service-learning and community-based research opportunities for you and/or your students.
Date: Friday, November 12th (12-3pm) ~ Stick Boy Foccacia, Salad, & Drinks Provided Location: Price Lake Room, Plemmons Student Union (2nd Floor); tour of 3 local agencies
