Description
"Winter is Coming..."
Greg will demonstrate the tools available in AsULearn to carry forward with instruction when the physical class meeting is canceled or not possible. Though we'll touch on Forums for communication & online Assignment submissions, we'll spend the BULK of the session on Zoom web conferencing for hosting 'virtual' class meetings (and also recording those), and pre-recording 'lecture presentations' with Zoom or Screencast-o-matic. We'll cover sharing Zoom recording links, and provisioning your ASU-account's YouTube channel, publishing your videos there, and embedding them in your AsULearn course. When this is over, you should understand the workflow for making a quick video or desktop recording, and embedding it in your AsULearn course. "Just-in-time" video is finally here!
This professional development session will be conducted entirely in a Zoom web conference. You may participate in this session from any Internet-connected computer, on or off-campus. You are not required to have a webcam or microphone to participate in the session, but it is highly recommended. You will need speakers or headphones for audio. Once you register for the workshop you will be sent additional information on preparing for this Zoom webinar. PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is a synchronous web conference, not to be confused with the self-paced or F2F versions.
