This workshop takes a look at some more Excel functionality, such as Conditional Formatting, additional Interface Options to help you work, some useful functions and formula examples, as well as approaches to specific tasks, such as working with Mail List data, Pivot Tables, and Look-Up Indexes.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Select interface options to optimize your work flow.
  • Understand Conditional Formatting and apply it.
  • Learn some useful Excel functions, features, and tricks.

Pre-Requisites

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with operations like navigating the file system, saving and opening files, using a computer keyboard.
  • Familiarity with Excel 2007 (interface fundamentals and basic functions) or completion of the Introduction to Excel workshop.
  • This workshop will focus on the Excel 2007 for Windows version. While the fundamentals of Excel will apply to previous versions (including Mac), it is recommended for users of the 2007 Windows edition.
