Description

Join us for an informal lunch-hour presentation from Dr. Christopher Osmond, a Leadership & Educational Studies faculty member who has fused his research, teaching, and service interests into an innovative public event series. "Compassion Comes to the Table: Food Security in the High Country" is a year-long, humanities-based series hosted by the Watauga County Public Library in collaboration with Dr. Osmond, the Appalachian State University Office of Sustainability, the Appalachian Humanities Council, and the pay-as-you can restaurant F.A.R.M. ("Feed All Regardless of Means") Cafe. The series is supported by a Building Common Ground grant from the American Library Association and the Fetzer Institute.
