Description

What this about a “flipped” classroom and what role can AsULearn in flipping my instruction?

The “flipped classroom” is an approach in which course instruction is delivered outside the classroom allowing for more opportunities for student interaction and participation in the face-to-face class period. This model has received a lot of attention recently and while this workshop will not advocate this approach, it will provide information and tools that can be used by instructors interested in this approach. The workshop explores the basics of the flipped classroom model, and addresses some of the ways technology tools can help in flipping instruction.

In addition presenters will explore and provide instruction in using a few of technology tools with AsULearn.

Participants will access AsULearn and have hands-on experience in participating in both the flipped classroom model as well as the supporting technology tools. We will also discuss best practices and tips for using these tools in your course.
