Description
This workshop will provide information about the regulations that govern the participation of human subjects in research in the United States. Facilitators will describe the purpose of the IRB, the requirements for conducting research involving human subjects, and the types of IRB review. Focus will be on explaining the main sections of the application form and what makes a successful application. Faculty interested in human subjects-based research, including scholarship that involves students and classes at Appalachian State University, are encouraged to attend.
