Description
In this interactive workshop, faculty will learn how to review and improve the accessibility of their courses. We will explore common accessibility issues and provides actionable insights for remediation. Participants will be introduced to practical resources for improving accessibility in their courses, covering key areas such as color contrast, link formatting, closed captioning, document structure, etc. Whether you are new to accessibility or looking to refine your approach, this session will equip you with the tools and knowledge to create a more inclusive learning environment.
Objectives
- Identify common accessibility barriers in online course materials and understand their impact on diverse learners.
- Utilize the Brickfield+ Accessibility Toolkit in AsULearn to assess and address accessibility issues within course content.
- Apply course resources to proactively design and revise course materials for improved accessibility and compliance.
