Description
This workshop will review the laws and regulations that govern the presence of Assistance Animals in campus settings, including the distinctions between federal, state, and institutional policies. Presenters will clarify the differences between Service Animals, Emotional Support Animals, and other assistance animals, including their roles and rights and explore the appropriate boundaries and responsibilities related to Assistance Animals, including what is and is not permitted in various campus environments. Participants will learn etiquette and best practices for engaging with Service Animals and their handlers to promote respectful and informed behavior across campus.
