Description

Facilitators: Derek Eggers, Rwany Sibaja, Tony Grant, Daniel Jones

During this workshop we will explore various active learning pedagogy within the context of active learning classrooms currently in place in Leon Levine Hall.

Participants will be expected to actively participate in example activities, or strategies to support active ann collaborative learning such as: Background Knowledge Probe (BKP), Brainstorming, Buzz Groups, JigSaw, and more.

We will explore the as-built classrooms in Leone Levine Hall in support of Active Learning practice.

Objectives

  • -Explore Active Learning Techniques in the Active Learning Classrooms of Leon Levine Hall

Prerequisites

  • - Currently teaching in or plan to teach in an active learning classroom in Leon Levine Hall.
  • -Interest in Active Learning Classroom Pedagogy and Technology.
  • -Willingness to endure up to 60 minutes of social engagement in an institution of higher education.
