Description
This Reich College of Education book group will read and discuss, Buddha's Brain: The practical neuroscience of happiness, love and wisdom by Richard Hanson. Learn more about how your brain functions, how you can become more mindful to rewire your brain and bring more opportunities for happiness in your life. Buddhist concepts are used to illustrate contemplative practices - this is not a Buddhism class.
This professional development is designed with Goal 4 of Strategic Direction 5 “Preserving Faculty and Staff Excellence” in mind.
Goal 4: Promote Sustainability Through Self-Care, Physical Health, and Work-Life Balance Bolster collegiality through faculty and staff events. Collaborate with departments outside the RCOE to develop volunteer self-care opportunities for faculty and staff.
Book club members will be given a copy of the book.
