This Learning Community series is focused on practical teaching strategies to use in an Active Learning Classroom. We plan to meet in 4 sessions, once a month to discuss the book in 3 sections, then culminate with a lightning talks session delivered by participants to share a technique, lesson learned, or other helpful "very short" presentation to share among a wider audience of peers that may be interested in exploring a wider range of Active Learning Strategies whether in an ALC or even traditional classroom. We plan to meet in a variety of ALC's on campus throughout the semester.
