Description
The National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in fields within NSF's mission. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering research. Each Fellowship consists of three years of support usable over a five-year period. For each year of support, NSF provides a stipend of $37,000 to the Fellow and a cost-of-education allowance of $16,000 to the degree-granting institution. Deadlines for applications are in November and depend on the applicant's Major Field of Study.
