Description

🚨 Announcing AccessFest!🚨

As the ADA’s Title II compliance deadline of April 24, 2026 approaches, we want to help you make your digital materials accessible. To assist with this effort, we are pleased to offer the AccessFest: Accessibility Working Lab.

✍️ AccessFest is a drop-in session where you can work on the accessibility of your digital course materials in a supportive environment. No formal instruction will be delivered, but accessibility experts will be on hand to answer questions, help solve problems, and offer advice.

We will be offering accessibility support for:

• AsULearn courses, including Brickfield • Microsoft Office files • Google files • PDFs, used in courses for teaching and learning • Multimedia (YouTube and Kaltura)

🚨 NOTE: Website-related materials, emails, newsletters, and PDFs unrelated to teaching will not be addressed in these sessions.

📝 To help us use our AccessFest time together effectively, please begin making accessibility updates to your digital materials before attending the session (click the More information link below). When you come, bring the specific questions or challenges you encounter during that process. This ensures we can focus on the areas where you need the most support.

💻 Please bring: • A laptop (in-person sessions) • 1–3 course materials you want to work on • Any accessibility questions you’d like help with

We will offer four AccessFest labs. You are welcome to register for as many classes/sessions as you like.
