Description

ChatGPT has been around for a few semesters now. Some of us responded by ignoring it, some of us outlawed it, and some of us incorporated it directly into our classes. Regardless of the stance you initially took, you're likely now in a place to make more informed, learning-centered decisions about its use (or non-use) in your classes. Join two CETLSS members (who also teach themselves!) to think through the role ChatGPT plays in your classes.

Objectives

  • Participants will learn about three different approaches to ChatGPT syllabus policies (i.e., restrictive, permissive, mixed).
  • Participants will learn about class activities that utilize ChatGPT as a learning tool.
  • Participants will leave with an action plan of next steps for their classroom use (or non-use) of ChatGPT
