Description
A 2014 national survey on workplace bullying reveals that over one-quarter of American workers have experienced workplace bullying. Appalachian is committed to creating a workplace that is positive, healthy, and supportive to all employees—faculty, staff, and administrators. This workshop provides leaders and supervisors a foundation of information about bullying, university policies and procedures for handling bullying, and actions they can take to prevent and reduce bullying in their departments.
Objectives
- Identify bullying behaviors
- Summarize University policies that prohibit bullying
- Describe the process of handling complaints
- Develop plans to prevent and reduce bullying in the workplace
