Description

Note: This workshop series is ONLY available to new faculty members.

Learn the tools to help engage your students and maximize their success in the classroom. During this workshop, participants will learn about high impact practices and how to develop their own framework for reflective teaching. We will hear from students about their experiences in our classrooms and what they found to be most effective.

Towards the end of this workshop, we will discuss our transition to Appalachian and continue our conversations about success in academia.

Objectives

  • Learn best teaching practices to increase student success and engagement
  • Develop a framework for examining and improving current teaching practices in the classroom
  • Utilize first-hand experiences from current students on what teaching methods were most effective in the development of your courses
