Developing an inclusive syllabus is a key first step towards creating an inclusive classroom and communicating to students your intent to cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning environment. In this workshop, we will introduce you to key components of an inclusive syllabus and provide examples that illustrate how these components can be applied to the design or re-design of your syllabus. We will also analyze syllabi to incorporate principles of diversity, inclusion, and equity and review a current syllabus using inclusive syllabus guidelines.
