Description
App State has two new labyrinths on our campus near Sanford Mall and Levine Hall. A labyrinth is an ancient, meditative, circular path utilized by diverse groups for centuries. A labyrinth is not a maze but a single path leading to the center and back out.
Are you interested in learning more about our campus labyrinths and participating in a guided labyrinth walk with a small group? This workshop is designed to introduce the campus community to our new labyrinths. All are welcome.
We will start out in a classroom and then walk to the labyrinth. We’ll meet rain or shine.
Objectives
- Describe what a labyrinth is and share the history of labyrinths on our campus
- Discuss how labyrinths can support health and wellbeing for individuals and groups
- Participate in and reflect on a labyrinth walk experience
Prerequisites
- This workshop is open to all App State employees and no prior experience is necessary.
