Description

Participants will learn how to fulfill their responsibilities as Faculty Mentors for the DegreeWorks software. Duties of Faculty Mentors include: Contribute to the development of face-to-face faculty adviser training by attending a consultation session in the summer and providing constructive feedback to improve the development of faculty training. Play a role in the development of video tutorial faculty adviser training by viewing the online training and providing constructive feedback to improve the online tutorial. Assist in the testing of the degree audit by viewing 5-10 student audits compared with their paper files to determine the accuracy of DegreeWorks (this review will occur during this consultation session). Encourage faculty advisers in the department to attend face-to-face training or watch online tutorials in September 2012. Agree to have your name published in your department and at degreeworks.appstate.edu as a DegreeWorks Faculty Mentor. Serve as a mentor to faculty advisers in the academic department once DegreeWorks goes live to students beginning October 1, 2012 through May 2013.
